7. V BELT BREAKAGE
WARNING
Disconnect compressor unit from main power supply before performing check(s)
or inspection, to avoid personal injury.
Step 1.
Check for frayed or broken V belts.
Step 2.
Check both flywheel and motor pulley to make sure they are secure
to shafts and in line. Any misalignment of motor pulley and
flywheel will cause excessive V belt wear and breakage.
For V belt replacement, refer service to next higher level
of maintenance. (See APPENDIX B)
8. OIL LEAKAGE
WARNING
Disconnect compressor unit from main power supply before performing check(s)
or inspection, to avoid personal injury.
Step 1.
Check to see that oil filler plug and oil drain cap are in place
and secure.
Wipe oil filler plug and oil drain cap areas clean of dirt
and oil.
Tighten oil filler plug and oil drain cap.
Begin normal operation and check to see if leak persists.
If it does, refer malfunction to higher level of main-
tenance. (See APPENDIX B)
9. AIR LEAKAGE
Step 1.
Check for and note location of leak.
