F o r a u t h o r i z e d c o m m o n t o o l s a n d e q u i p m e n t , r e f e r to the Modified Table of Organization and
E q u i p m e n t (MTOE) applicable to your unit.
3-6. SPECIAL TOOLS, TMDE, AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT
No special tools and equipment are required to maintain the air compressor assembly at the unit
maintenance level.

Section III. SERVICE (UNUSUAL) UPON RECEIPT O F EQUIPMENT
N o unusual service is required upon receipt of compressor assembly.
Section IV. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES (PMCS)
3-8. GENERAL.
a . The best way to maintain the air compressor assembly is to inspect on a regular basis so
m i n o r faults can be discovered and corrected before they result in serious damage, failure, or
i n j u r y . This section contains systematic instructions for inspection, adjustment, and correction
of the compressor components to avoid costly repairs or major breakdowns. This is Preventive
M a i n t e n a n c e Checks and Services.
b. Report shortcomings on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection and Maintenance worksheet,
i m m e d i a t e l y after the PMCS and before taking corrective action. They will also be reported in
t h e equipment log.
c . Do your B e f o r e (B) PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE before operation.
d . D o y o u r D u r i n g (D) PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE during operation.
e . Do your A f t e r (A) PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE after operation.

g . D o y o u r M o n t h l y (M) PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE once each month.
h . Do your Quarterly (Q) PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE once each quarter.

I f something doesn't work, troubleshoot it with the instructions in your manual or notify
your supervisor.
