Step 1.  Check to see if air intake filter is clogged. Replace air intake filter element (para.  4-22). Step 2.  Check engine compressor rpm. Adjust as required. 25.  SAFETY VALVES BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL STAGES RELEASING PRESSURE. Step 1.  Check intermediate stage pressure. Notify Direct Support Maintenance. Step 2.  Check to see if valves are not closing properly. Notify Direct Support Maintenance. 26.  COMPRESSOR OVERHEATS (SHUTDOWN ACTIVITIES). Step 1.  Check to see if intake or outlet valves are not closing properly. Notify Direct Support Maintenance. Step 2.  Check to see if there is an insufficient supply of cooling air. Move to location which permits adequate air for cooling and observe ambient temperature for operation. Step 3.  Check to see if flywheel fan cooling fins are dirty. Clean flywheel fan cooling fins (para.  4-24). 27.  COMPRESSOR SPEED LOW. Step 1.  Check to see if drive belts have proper tension. Adjust idler pulley (para.  4-20). Step 2.  Check to see if engine is running at rated speed. Increase engine speed to correct RPM. 4-29/(4-30 blank)
