(figure 5-64)(1)Using piston heater, heat piston (1) to about 178°F (80°C).(2)Using circlip pliers, remove two circlips (2) and slide piston pin (3) out of piston (1) and connecting rod (4),and remove piston (1).(3)Using fixture, remove piston bushing (5).(4)Remove expander spring (6) from bottom ring (7).(5)Using piston ring expander, remove bottom oil control ring (7), two middle control rings (8) and (9) and topcompression ring (10).(6)Using piston ring expander, install bottom oil control ring (7).(7)Install expander spring (6) on bottom oil control ring (7).(8)Using piston ring expander, install two middle control rings (8) and (9), and top compression ring (10).(9)Using fixture, install piston pin bushing (5).(10)Install circlip (2) in boss that is to face cylinder that has not been dismantled.(11)Position piston (1) so that exhaust side (marked with an arrow on piston crown) faces the push rod bores.(12)Using piston heater, heat piston (1) to about 178°F (80°C).(13)Press piston pin (3) into piston boss and connecting rod (4).(14)Install second circlip (2) in piston boss.5-178
