Discard retainingrings (1).(3)Remove two compression rings (5) and oil ring (6) from piston (3).WARNINGDry cleaning solvent, PD-680 used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel andproperty. Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or excessiveheat. Flash point of solvent is 138°F (60°C).(4)Clean all items with dry cleaning solvent and dry thoroughly.(5)Clean out piston ring grooves.(6)Inspect piston (3) and replace if scored, top is pitted, or piston measurement is less than 3.198 in. (81.160mm).(7)Inspect connecting rod (4) and bearing cap (7), and replace if cracked or bent.(8)Inspect wrist pin (2) and replace if bent or excessively worn.(9)Install oil ring (6) in bottom piston ring groove.(10)Install two compression rings (5) in top two piston ring grooves.(11)Position piston (3) on connecting rod (4).(12)Install wrist pin (2) and secure with two new6-56
