GENERAL.
a.
Before you operate. Always keep in mind the CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS. Perform your before (B) PMCS.
b.
While you operate. Always keep in mind the CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS. Perform your during (D) PMCS.
c.
After you operate. Be sure to perform your after (A) PMCS.
d.
If your equipment fails to operate. Troubleshoot with proper equipment. Report any deficiencies using the proper
forms. See DA PAM 738-750.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES PROCEDURES . Table 2-1 lists and describes the
operator PMCS required for the air compressor. Table 2-1 consists of four columns containing the following:
a.
Item Number Column. Checks and services are numbered in chronological order regardless of interval performed.
The items numbers will be entered in the TM number column on DA Form 2404 when recording the results of
PMCS.
b.
Intervals Column. Intervals are headed B for before operation, D for during operation, and A for after operation.
c.
Item To Be Inspected Column. Items listed in this column are divided into functional groups and by item common
name. This column also contains the information required to accomplish the checks and services.
d.
Equipment Is Not Ready/Available If: Column. This column is used to tell why the equipment cannot be used.
