GENERALThe Components of End Item (COEI) and Basic Issue Items (BII) List are divided into the following sections:a. Section II. Components of End Item. This listing is for informational purposes only, and is not authority torequisition replacements. These items are part of the air compressor. As part of the end item, these items must be withthe end item whenever it is issued or transferred between property accounts. Items of COEI are removed and separatelypackaged for transportation or shipment only when necessary. Illustrations are furnished to help you find and identify theitems.b. Section III. Basic Issue Items. These essential items are required to place the compressor in operation, operateit, and to do emergency repairs. Although shipped separately packaged, BII must be with the compressor duringoperation and when it is transferred between property accounts. This list is your authority to request/requisition them forreplacement based on authorization of the end item by the TOE/MTOE. Illustrations are furnished to help you find andidentify the items.C-3. EXPLANATION OF COLUMNSa. Column (1), National Stock Number, identifies the stock number of the item to be used for requisitioningpurposes.b. Column (2), Description, cage code, and part number identifies the Federal item name (COMPRESSOR,RECIPROCATING AIR, 15 CFM, 175 PSI, TRAILER MOUNTED) followed by a minimum description when needed. Thelast line below the description is the Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGEC) and the part number.c. Column (3), U/I (unit of issue), indicates how the item is issued for the National Stock Number shown in columntwo.d. Column (4), Qty Rqd, indicates the quantity required.C-1
