Turn the cap screws evenly and alternately topush the cover straight off the crankcase.b.Note the two teeth of camshaft gear and one tooth of crankshaft gear that are match marked to makesure of proper alignment of timing gears when reinstalling timing cover.c.Remove and discard gasket (4).d.Remove plastic plug above injection pump, and remove socket head setscrew from crankcase.e.Remove spindle (5), cam followers (6 and 7) and shim (8) from crankcase using cam follower spindleextractor 66632400.WARNINGDEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY COULD OCCURIF FUEL IS NOT HANDLED CAREFULLY.
