1.
Cylinder head (30)
a. Clean, especially area between
cooling fins.
b. Remove gasket material stuck
to bottom of head.
2.
Valve parts
WARNING
Wear gloves or other skin
protective equipment when
working with cleaning
solvents.
Clean with cleaning solution.
3.
Valve plates and seats
a. Inspect for wear and flatness.
(10, 11, 18, 19,25 and
b. Resurface with No. 400

emery cloth if wear is slight.
c. Replace if they can't be
resurfaced.
Valve seats must be flat and smooth.
