C h e c k for low oil level and quality of oil.
Add oil or change as necessary.
C h e c k for dirt in intercooler or cylinder fins.
Remove dirt.
Check that compressor is getting adequate
v e n t i l a t i o n .
Move compressor to a site where air can
circulate, or otherwise improve ventilation.
Check for clogged air intake filters.
R e p l a c e i n t a k e f i l t e r s.
Check intake and exhaust valves.
Clean or replace valves (paragraph 4-25).
Check for the proper functioning of the unloader
valve.
Air should be blowing out of the muffler
freely when tank pressure exceeds 195 psi +/-5 psi.

Unscrew the muffler and blow out any dirt
with compressed air.
b.
Reinstall the muffler.
EXCESSIVE COMPRESSOR OIL CONSUMPTION.

Check for incorrect or inferior grade of compressor

Replace compressor crankcase oil.

compressor crankcase drain pipe and
remove plug (1) from pipe.
