TM 5-4310-372-14COMPRESSOR DRIVE MAINTENANCE -continued4-16.INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT - continued3.Engine Pulleya .b.c .d.e .f .4.Drive Beltsa.Slide key into stub13 to 17shaft keyway.Slide pulley over stubs h a f t.Slide bushing (hub) over16stub shaft making sure toproperly align andposition key.Position pulley over hub andalign its v-belt grooves tothose in the compressor fly-wheel .Make sure that theunthreaded holes in the pulleyline up with the threaded holesin its bushing (inner hub).I n s t a l l f a s t e n e r s ( 3 c a p s c r e w s 13and washers) into the pulley14and screw into the hub.Slowly tighten the fastenersmaking sure to graduallytighten (equally torque)each capscrew in rotation.Make sure. that the bushingis pulled into the pulleyso that the pulley holdsalignment with the compressorflywheel.Torque thecapscrews to 15 ft-lbs.Position belts over flywheel11wheel and pulley.Checkalignment of the belts.CAUTIONWhen prying, do not pivot on any components thatmight be broken, dented or otherwise damaged byp r e s s u r e.b .Slide engine away from thecompressor.Use a woodwedge or similar device toassist tensioning of theb e l t s .4-17
