Item to Be Inspected. Procedures
a. To replace desiccant, remove clamp ring (1) and bowl
assembly (2) from cover (3).
b. Pour saturated desiccant into suitable container and discard.
NOTE
Take care that no desiccant enters center tube. Refer to
illustration below.
c. Fill bowl assembly (2) with new desiccant taking care that
no desiccant is allowed to enter center tube (4). Shake
or tap bowl assembly (2) to settle desiccant. Add or
remove until desiccant level is 1/8" below inner shoulder
of bowl.
NOTE
Be sure clamp ring is securely locked in place before
operating air compressor.
d. Install bowl assembly (2) to cover (3) using clamp ring (1).
Use new tube O-ring (5) and cover O-ring (6).
