COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
a. Check mounting bolts (1) for tightness.
b. Check twelve cylinder mounting bolts (2) to crankcase.
c. Check twelve cylinder head mounting bolts (3) for tightness.
d. Check oil level through sight glass (4). Add oil through fill
plug opening (5) until oil reaches full mark on glass. Refer to
paragraph 3-2.
e. Remove belt guard and inspect flywheel (6) for secure
attachment to shaft.
f. Check wing nuts fastening rain guards to cylinder heads
for tightness.
g. Disconnect intercooler (7) and aftercooler (8) tubing,
remove four cylinder head bolts and high pressure
cylinder head. Inspect top of piston and head assembly
for carbon. Remove carbon deposit and reinstall head
using a new head gasket. Install four cylinder
head bolts and reconnect intercooler and aftercooler
tubing.
