INSTALLATION
1.
Apply adhesive to gasket mating surface (2) of oil pan (3).
2.
Aline new gasket (1) with oil pan (3) and install gasket on oil pan.
3.
Position oil pan (3) under engine block (8) and install 24 new lockwashers (7) and bolts (6). Torque bolts to 20 lb.-
ft. (27 N•m).
4.
Install new gasket (4) on magnetic plug (5).
5.
Install magnetic plug (5) in oil pan (3).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:
•
Install center bottom cover (see paragraph 4-81).
•
Fill crankcase with oil (see Lubrication Instructions, Chapter 3, Section I).
