INTRODUCTION
SECTION I GENERAL INFORMATION
1-1. SCOPE.

Type of Manual. Operator's, Unit, Direct Support and General Support Maintenance Manual.

Model Number and Equipment Name. Model 16MS125, Skid Mounted, Diesel Engine Driven, 125 cfm at 100
psi, Rotary Air Compressor.
WARNING
Do not use compressed air from the equipment for breathing air. The compressor is designed
for mechanical use only. Serious injury or death may result using the equipment for
respiration air.

Purpose of Equipment. The unit is designed to supply compressed air to power pneumatic tools and charge low
pressure air systems. Do not use on life support equipment or breathing apparatus.

Department of the Army forms and procedures used for equipment maintenance will be those prescribed by DA Pam
738-750, The Army Maintenance Management System; DA Pam 738-751, Functional Users Manual for the Army
Maintenance Management System-Aviation (TAMMS-A); or AR 700-138, Army Logistics Readiness and Sustainability.
1-3. DESTRUCTION OF ARMY MATERIAL TO PREVENT ENEMY USE.
Refer to TM 750-244-3 for instructions relating to destruction of equipment to prevent enemy use.
1-4. PREPARATION FOR STORAGE OR SHIPMENT.
Refer to Chapter 4 for instructions relating to the preparation for storage or shipment of equipment.
