CAUTION
Using a motor-driven brush to clean up nozzle body can damage the Teflon coating on the
nozzle body above the carbon stop seal groove. This coating will become discolored during
normal service, but this is not harmful.

Suspend nozzles (Figure 6-7), so carbon stop seal groove is just covered, in a commercial solvent such as
cleaning solvent (item 17, section II, appendix E) heated to 200° F (93° C). Allow them to soak for 30
minutes.

After soaking, clean tip with a brass wire brush.
