Using a needle-nose pliers, remove and discard the carbon stop seal (Figure 6-5, 1) and upper sealing
washer (2).

Cleaning.
CAUTION
Always turn the nozzle cleaning tool clockwise through the bore even when pulling back to
prevent tool from becoming dull,

Clean nozzle bore with nozzle bore cleaning tool (item 6, section III, appendix B). Blow debris from bore
with compressed air, and plug the bore to prevent entry of foreign material.
