Compressor Pumping Oil
Step 1. Check for a clogged muffler

The oil level gage mounted in the
compressor crankcase (fig. 1-1) is a direct-
reading, glass covered gage used to check
the level of the oil in the crankcase.
If the oil level is low, remove the oil fill
plug (fig. 1-1) and fill with OE/HD 10W 30
lubrication oil, to the full mark on the oil
sight gage. Replace the fill plug.

Knocks or Rattles

condensate to escape.
d. Close draincock.
e. Be sure that cleaning material and tools
have been removed from the air receiver.
f. Move the ON-OFF switch to ON.
Step 2. Check for air leaks in
