1. ENGINE FAILS TO START. (cont)
WARNING: Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is
potentially dangerous to personnel and property. Avoid
repeated and prolonged skin contact by wearing rubber or
solvent impermeable gloves when handling the solvent or
material wet with drycleaning solvent, Wash hands immediately
after exposure with soap and water and use a lanolin based
skin cream to prevent skin drying. Do not use near open flame
or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100F (38C).
Ensure that ventilation adequate to reduce solvent vapor
concentrations below acceptable threshold limit values is
provided.
(1) Clean the tank strainer (2) with dry cleaning solvent, P-D-680.
Dry thoroughly.
(2) Position strainer in fuel tank filler aperture.
(3) Install fuel tank cap and gasket (1).
2. ENGINE MISSES OR OPERATES ERRATICALLY.
Step 1. Inspect fuel tank cap vent for blockage.
Clean cap vent.
Step 1. Inspect belt guard screen for obstruction.
W ith the engine stopped, clear obstruction from screen.
Step 2. Restricted cylinder cooling fins.
Clean cylinder cooling fins.
4. ENGINE STOPS.
Step 1. Inspect for lack of fuel in fuel tank.
Fill fuel tank.

1. COMPRESSOR PUMPS TOO SLOWLY OR PROVIDES INSUFFICIENT PRESSURE.
Step 1. Inspect compressor air cleaner for blockage.
