Install new oil seal

Coat the outside edge of
the seal with shellac or
pipe compound and gently
press into the cover
(open side of seal faces
the bearing).

Install new cover gasket.

Slide the cover (with
seal) over the crankshaft
a n d r e i n s t a l l f a s t e n e r s.
