REMOVAL
1.
Remove 10 bolts (1) from flywheel (2),
WARNING
Flywheel is heavy and can injure
you. To prevent Injury, keep hands
out
from
under
flywheel
while
removing it.
2.
Remove flywheel (2) from crankshaft and flywheel
housing adapter (6).
3.
Remove 9 bolts (11), lockwashers (10), socket head
bolt (4), lockwasher (5), and flywheel housing
adapter (6) from engine. Discard lockwashers.
4.
Remove 4 bolts (14), lockwashers (13), and cover
(12) from flywheel housing adapter (6) Discard
lockwashers.
5.
Remove 3 bolts (9), lockwashers (8), and cover
plate (7) from flywheel housing adapter (6). Discard
lockwashers.

DISASSEMBLY
1.
Using a chisel, split ring gear (3) off flywheel (2). Discard ring gear.
c.
ASSEMBLY
1.
Place new ring gear (3) in oven and heat to 250°F (120°C) for 30 minutes.
