Installation INITIAL SETUP: Tools Required Tool Kit, General Mechanic's (Appendix B, Item 1) Material's/Parts Required Cloth, Lint-Free (Appendix E, Item 1) Brush, Medium Bristle (Appendix E, Item 2) Solvent, Dry Cleaning (Appendix E, Item 3) Cotter Pin MS24665-370 (2 Required)(Appendix H, Item 22) Equipment Condition Air compressor unit shut down and cool. a. Removal. (Refer to Figure 4-23). NOTE Handle grips can only be removed by cutting them from chassis. Do not remove them unless they are to be replaced. (1) Remove two handle grips (1) from chassis (2). (2) Remove two cotter pins (3), two tire / wheel assemblies (4), and two spacers (5). Discard cotter pins. (3) Remove two screws (6), two lock washers (7), and two vibration mounts (8) from chassis (2). b. Inspection. (1) Inspect all metal parts for cracks and dents. (2) Check vibration mounts for excessive wear. (3) Check that wheel bearings operate smoothly. c. Repair. Repair is limited to replacement of parts found defective during inspection. d. Installation. (Refer to Figure 4-23). (1) Install two vibration mounts (8), two lock washers (7), and two screws (6) onto chassis (2). (2) Install two spacers (5), two tire / wheel assemblies (4), and two new cotter pins (3) onto chassis (2). (3) Install two grips (1) onto chassis (2). 4-72
