(3) Clean ventholes in the battery caps.
(4) Check battery for leakage. Replace a
leaking battery.
b. Testing.
(1) Test the specific gravity of the battery
electrolyte with a hydrometer, draw-
ing the electrolyte from each cell. Cor-
rect the specific gravity reading of the
hydrometer for the temperature of the
electrolyte. The temperature corrected
reading should be 1.280.
