Rings
Remove old rings.
a. Apply lubricating oil to piston ring
Rings
grooves.
If original cylinder is to be re-used, cylinder bore must be
deglazed before installation.
Use a piston ring expander, never pass one ring over another.
b. "H" type ring is always installed in the bottom
ring groove. Make sure bevel is toward the
head and the undercut groove is toward the
bottom of the piston.
