Solvent, Dry Cleaning (Appendix E, Item 3)
Diesel Fuel (Appendix E, Item 5)
Equipment Condition
Air compressor unit shut down and cool.

Removal
(Refer to Figure 4-7).
WARNING
Improper care in handling fuel can cause fire and explosion which can cause severe
injury or death to operating personnel. To avoid fire or explosion during engine
refueling:
DO NOT allow any flame producing material within 50 feet (15.25 m) of fuel during equipment filling.
DO NOT smoke while fuel is exposed.
DO NOT let fuel drip onto any hot surface.
DO NOT let fuel spill onto hot surfaces.

Drain fuel from fuel tank as follows.
a.
Remove fuel tank cap from fuel tank.
b.
Position three way fuel valve handle so that arrow on valve handle points toward bottom of fuel tank
to shut off fuel flow from tank.
c.
Loosen clamp (3) and remove fuel line hose (4) from fuel filter.
d.
Position open end of fuel line hose (4) over drain pan.
e.
Position three way fuel valve handle so that arrow on valve handle points toward belt guard and allow
fuel to drain from fuel line hose (4) into drain pan.
f.
When all fuel has drained from fuel tank, replace fuel tank cap onto fuel tank.
