Replacement.
(1)
Removal
D i s c o n n e c t fuel hose assembly
(a)
from carburetor.
(b)
R e m o v e fuel tank cover and
r e a c h into fuel tank to remove
m o u n t i n g bolt from fuel filter
assembly.
(c)
with two nuts (1, 6) and two
p a c k i n g s (2, 5). Discard
packings.
(d)
W i t h 7/16-in. wrench, remove 4
b o l t s , 2 flat washers and 2 lock
washers from the fuel tank.
L i f t fuel t a n k from top of

engine.

Installation
O b t a i n replacement fuel tank and place it on top of engine.

Line up mounting holes, and install two 1/4-20 x 1/2 inch bolts, two 1/4-20 x 1

i n c h bolts, four lock washers, and two flat washers.
T i g h t e n bolts to hold fuel tank securely.
(c)
I f fuel shutoff valve is not already installed on the fuel tank, obtain replacement.
(d)
I n s t a l l fuel shutoff valve with one nut and one packing on each side of fuel tank
(e)
w a l l . Packings must be against the wall. Align valve with fuel line.
(f)
Tighten mounting nuts.
Connect fuel hose assembly to carburetor.
