R i g h t wheel removed.
F l y w h e e l shroud and recoil starter removed (para 3-23).
a . Inspection. Inspect flywheel for
d a m a g e that could cause it to vibrate
w h i l e rotating. Excess vibration when
e n g i n e is running could mean that the
f l y w h e e l is out of balance.

Replacement.

S t a r t i n g pulley (6), washer (4)

U s i n g wheel puller remove

f l y w h e e l (3), extract woodruff
key (l).
(2)
Installation
O b t a i n replacement flywheel (3).
(a)
Insert woodruff key (1) in position on shaft (2)
(b)
Place flywheel (3) on shaft with key slot lined up with key (l).
(c)
Install lock washer (4), nut (5), and starting pulley (6).
(d)
Torque nut (5) to 44.0 to 47.0 ft lb (59.7 to 63.7 N m ) .
