Remove cap nut (Figure 3-10, Item 1) to
ex pose setscrew ( 2).
Remove tube plug (4).
Connect a calibrated oil pressure gauge to
the oil pressure regulator test connector (4) to read oil
pressure (the connector is 6mm L tube).
Using a screwdriver, turn setscrew (2) in
oil pressure regulator (5) to adjust oil pressure. Turn the
counterclockwise to reduce pressure.
FIGURE 3-10. OIL PRESSURE REGULATOR
Oil pressure should be 850 psi +/- 50 psi.
If bubbles are observed In the regulator sight glass (3) on the oil pressure regulator (5), it is necessary to
vent the pump; refer to paragraph 3-5.4 and 2. above.

Press down on the belt midway between sheaves. Deflection should be /2 inch.
V-belt should be free of cracks, frayed edges, breaks in covering and/or broken cords. Sheave grooves
should be free of excessive wear, corrosion and rough spots. The belt should fit in the groove without bottoming.
Adjusting the Belt Tension.
Loosen the engine mounting bolts and slide the engine as necessary to obtain proper tension.
