external wiring.
Voltage Regulator. Check the voltage regulator for proper operation

and secure mountings. See that wire connections are tight. The
regulator should allow an appreciable charge to go into the battery
after the starter is used. After the battery is fully charged, the ammeter
should read only a slight charge.

Gages. Inspect temperature, oil, and air pressure gages on control
