Install box cover (3) and clip latches (2) onto box cover.

Close roadside access doors (1).

Drain Fuel Tank. The fuel tank may have residual P-10 preservative oil in it that must be removed.

Remove four hex washer head bolts (Figure 4-4, 1) and lock washers (2). Dispose of lock washers.

Open airblock (3).

Place pan (section II, appendix D) under fuel tank (4).

Remove fuel tank drain plug (5) and wait for all P-10 preservative to drain out. Contact your local
environmental officer for guidance on how to properly dispose of P-10 preservative in accordance with
local regulations.
(5)
Wrap antiseize tape (item 1, section II, appendix E) around the drain plug (5) threads.
(6)
Clean the fuel tank (4) drain with a wiping rag (item 2, section II, appendix E) and install the drain plug (5).
