(9) Apply a liberal coat of engine oil to the crankshaft. Tap on the head of the piston with a wooden block until
the connecting rod and bearing is seated on the crankshaft. Install the connecting rod cap over
theconnecting rod bolts.
NOTE
Be sure that the marks on the connecting rod and connecting rod cap agree and are on

Install two new 5/16-24" hex locking nuts onto two connecting rod bolts. Tighten nuts to 22-28 Ib-ft

Repeat 9 and 10 above for each piston and connecting rod assembly.

Rotate crankshaft several turns by hand to ensure that there is no binding.
