7. ENGINE STOPS SUDDENLY
Check fuel tank.
Step 1.
Refill fuel tank if necessary.
Check fuel tank cap air vent hole.
Step 2.
Remove restriction plugging cap.
Check air cleaner for restrictions.
Step 3.
Service air cleaner (para 3-6b(3)).
8. COMPRESSOR PUMPS TOO SLOWLY OR FAILS TO BUILD UP PRESSURE
Check air cleaner for clog.
Step 1.
Service air cleaner (para 3-6b(3)).
Check oil level.
Step 2.
Add oil if necessary (para 3-6a(1)).
Check for leaks.
Step 3.
Tighten fittings or replace.
9. COMPRESSOR OVERHEATS
Check cylinder fins and intercooler fins for dirt.
Step 1.
Clean fins.
Check air cleaner for restrictions.
Step 2.
Service air cleaner (para 3-6b(3)).
Check oil level, oil viscosity and type of oil.
Step 3.
Add oil (of correct viscosity), if necessary (para 3-6a(1)). Do not use
detergent oil.
