a. REMOVAL
1.
Remove two bolts (7) and lockwashers (8) from front end plate (4). Discard lockwashers.
CAUTION
Support front end plate on flat, even surface to prevent bending and warping.
2.
Remove 13 bolts (6), lockwashers (5), front end plate (4), and gasket (3) from engine block (2). Discard
lockwashers and gasket.
3.
Remove gasket (1) from engine block (2). Discard gasket.
